Formulated with SWOP technology™ has the distinction of being manufactured as oil emulsion in water (O / W) that becomes water in oil (W / O) during the application, combining application advantages of O / W emulsions with the skin care benefits of W / O emulsions.
However, a high efficacy is insufficient if the users do not apply the product correctly or do not apply it at all. For this reason, the formulation has been developed taking into account the sensory preferences of consumers – good skin feel after application, pleasant smell – combined with maximum safety -filters with a large molecule size that do not cross the stratum corneum, incorporation of non-allergic perfume- in order to increase acceptance as well as to reduce the risk of non-adherence and improper use.

The sunscreen adopts different names depending on the country where it is produced and distributed: Kilimanjaro Suncare (KILISUN) in Tanzania, UMOZI MAX in Malawi. The product is packaged in the local language for better understanding of the user.
Efficacy and safety comparative between our UMOZI MAX against the current sunscreens distributed in Malawi hospitals, tested much superior results for UMOZI MAX.
Final objective is the local production on the field. For this reason, from the beginning we seek to create a product of quality and easy production process, without complicated manufacturing methods that could put at risk the sustainability and the scalability of the idea. In the production units, where local personnel works, priority is given to hiring people with albinism.
